Atlantic Water Gardens BF1500 Filterfalls are up-flow filters. Water flows from the pump through the bulkhead fitting into the swirl chamber at the bottom of the filter enclosure; then through the grate and filter mat where solids are removed. Lastly, through the filter material, and out over the spillway.

The BF1500 has a Max flow rate of 4500 GPH. The container capacity is 30 gallons, and measures 30 inches L x 24.5 inches W x 20 inches H, with a 20 inch spillway. The waterfall filter is ruggedly built out of High Molecular Weight Polyethylene.
