Manual of Koi Health
SKU:
Manual of Koi Health by Keith Holmes and Tony Pitham.
The Manual of Koi Health explain how to create a healthy environment for your koi and how to treat any sickness that may afflict them.
Manual of Koi Health has been written specifically for koi keepers, whether they are novices with just a single pond in the back garden, or serious koi enthusiasts who are deeply involved in breeding or exhibiting their fish. In contrast to many textbooks on fish health, this manual presents technical information at a level that is readily understood by the non-scientist. It is primarily designed to be a practical guide, based largely on the authors' first-hand experiences gained over many years of working in the koi industry. As such, the information herein reflects current practices within the professional koi community and will be of interest to those employed in this field. The book is arranged in a logical sequence comprising four parts.
Part 1: Addresses the all-important subjec of disease prevention.
Part 2: Covers the "essential skills" that the koi keeper will need to acquire in order to monitor the health of his stock.
Part 3: Comprises the major section of the book, dealing with commonly encountered koi health problems.
Part 4: Describes various methods for administering treatments to koi, such as medicated baths and dips and the surface treatment of wounds.
